Substitute Teachers

We are looking for substitute teachers, who will work closely with the teachers at Sakura Valley. The job duties range from organizing materials and cleaning the workspace to facilitating the learning process for each child. Our substitute teachers are expected to support the Montessori teaching method, in which we will provide on-site training. Specifically, they must help guide the child through self-directed activities, allowing the child to develop at his or her own pace. They are expected to foster, along with the other teachers, a nurturing and stimulating non-competitive environment. 

Position Requirements

• Native English speaker

• Japanese not required

• Must love working with children

• Availability at short notice

• Reliable, trustworthy, warm, and friendly person

• Valid visa holder – we cannot provide a sponsorship for our applicants

• Early Childhood Education/Montessori Diploma/Degree preferred

Seasonal School Assistant

We are looking for a short-term, part-time assistant for our seasonal schools, which will be held each quarter (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall). We will be learning about different subjects throughout these seasonal schools, and need someone who will be available to help from 8:30 AM, to 2:30 PM.
